Supporting Community Healthcare

:: Monday, February 6, 2023 :: Posted By Mary Beth Garrison

Through our newest program, Coins Against Cancer, U.S. Borax employees raised $4,200 last year to fund cancer services in eastern Kern County. The cumulative coins collected weighed more than 75 pounds—that’s a lot of pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters!

On Feb. 1, I was happy to present the check to Edward Martin, site administrator for Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley. This money was raised to help women who don’t have the financial means to get care when they have an abnormal biopsy or have been diagnosed with cancer.
