“My mining journey began in high school at an explosives camp run by Missouri S&T. The professors spoke of a career that mainly involved field work and used blasting techniques we learned all summer and I was instantly hooked," says Julia.
"Working at Rio Tinto represents opportunity for individuals and the communities we're a part of. It's refreshing to see how willing hiring managers are to source talent from within. The culture of growth and opportunity is what stands out to me and makes Rio Tinto a unique employer."
She offers simple advice for anyone thinking about applying to the graduate program: “If you have the courage to ask, there’s virtually no team you can’t join as a grad.”
