Coffee crops are one of the most susceptible to boron deficiency. Coffee trees’ nutrient requirements increase with age. Growing coffee in the same spot for many years also increases the crops’ nutrient requirement. Boron is necessary for:
- Root growth and functioning
- Growth of internodes
- Fruit size and setting
- Drought and disease resistance
